Youth Ministry Program

Spiritual Education Program Mission Statement

Our mission is to create a loving, joyful, and safe environment where youth feel connected to Spirit, self, and community. Through use of our Unity Principles, youth are empowered to explore, express, and nurture the Spiritual Truth that already resides within.

Program Overview

Our curriculum follows the same philosophy that is used by the
Association of Unity Churches — A Living Curriculum. It is a story-based curriculum that uses stories from the Bible and other sources to help your child understand principles of Truth.

Nursery & Wonderful World: Birth through Kindergarten
Our main focus with this age group is to reinforce the concept that Spirit is within us, around us, everywhere present and loves us unconditionally. This is done through loving care of your child, music and movement, creative projects thematic to the time of year and safe and appropriate group and individual play.

Worship Center: Elementary School Age Youth
The beginnings of metaphysical interpretation are introduced here.
A basic understanding of Bible stories interspersed with alternative curricula help to support our 5 basic Unity principles and solidify our sense of Oneness with the Divine and with all.

Basic Principles in Language for Children

  1. God is all good and active in everything, everywhere.
  2. I am naturally good because God’s Divinity is in me and in everyone.
  3. I create my experiences by what I choose to think and what I feel and believe.
  4. Through affirmative prayer and meditation, I connect with God and bring out the good in my life.
  5. I do and give my best by living the Truth I know I make a difference.
