Come and join Jeff Nesta and Bob Bennicoff for a hike (really a saunter) on April 27, May 4, & May 18. We'll meet at 2 PM at the hike location. You might want to bring water, a jacket and perhaps a hiking stick. Let's enjoy the outdoors together!
The first hike on Sunday, April 27th the hike will be at Pheasant Branch Conservancy,
which has a diverse topography including wetlands and several predominant springs which provide fresh water for Lake Mendota. Here is a link to more information about this beautiful area.The second hike on May 4th will be at the Grady Tract at the Arboretum. Many species of native plants and animals call it home. The third hike on May 18th is at Cherokee Marsh Conservation Park. On this trail you will explore restored prairie, oak savanna, and woodland. Boardwalks with observation decks offer views of the upper Yahara River, deep marsh, and sedge meadow. Here is more information.
