Join Us for a Sustainable Fashion Show!

At Unity of Madison, we prioritize EarthCare and sustainable practices, promote an earth-oriented spirituality, and encourage our congregation to actively care for all creation. Sustainable fashion shows are a fantastic way to promote eco-friendly clothing and raise awareness about the environmental impact of the fashion industry. These events highlight organizations that use recycled materials, ethical production methods, and innovative ideas to reuse stylish and sustainable outfits.
Please note that although this event is hosted at Unity Church and aligns with our beliefs, it is not a religious event.
What to expect:
- Runway Show: Watch as people from our congregation strut down the runway in beautiful, eco-friendly outfits.
- Announcer & Photographers: Enjoy the excitement of a professional runway show with an announcer and photographers capturing the moments.
- Appetizers: Mingle and enjoy appetizers in the hallway of Unity before the show starts.
How to participate as a runway model:
- If you want to showcase your sustainable fashion sense, you're welcome to participate! You can bring up to two outfits. Please email Kate at youthed@unityofmadison.org to register. When planning your outfits, make a note of where you got the items and any special details you want to share (this will be read by the announcer when you head down the runway).
- Need help planning your outfits? Contact Kay Frazier for assistance. She is usually at Unity on Sunday mornings.
Want to help but don't want to be a runway model?
- We are looking for volunteers to help with food, cleanup, and photography. Please email Kate at youthed@unityofmadison.org.
- Dress up! Be extravagant!
